Chrome fixes

Enable your camera & microphone

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Click settings

  4. Click privacy and security

  5. Click site settings

  6. Open microphone page

  7. Add the site to the allow list

  8. Open camera page

  9. Add the site to the allow list

 

Review your blocked and allowed sites.

To remove an existing exception or permission: To the right of the site, click Delete.

To allow a site that you already blocked: Under "Blocked," select the site's name and change the camera or microphone permission to "Allow."


Default camera 

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Click settings

  4. Click privacy and security

  5. Click site settings

  6. Under permission click Camera

  7. Use the drop-down menu to select your desired device 

  8. Refresh the Juno session

  9. Click Video


Default microphone

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Click settings

  4. Click privacy and security

  5. Click site settings

  6. Under permission click Microphone

  7. Use the drop-down menu to select your desired device 

  8. Refresh the Juno session

  9. Click Audio


Delete Google Chrome cache

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Click Safety check on the left side of the webpage.

  5. Click the Clear browsing data button under Privacy and security section

  6. Click the Time range drop down and select All time

  7. Click clear data and exit relaunch google chrome


Prevent Chrome extensions from running in background when closed

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the top right more icon

  3. Click settings

  4. Click Advanced

  5. Click System

  6. Disable “Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed”


Restore Google Chrome settings to their original defaults

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Advanced to the bottom left of the webpage

  5. Click Reset and clean up

  6. Click Restore settings to their original defaults

  7. Close and Re-open the Juno site to see if your issue is resolved


Update Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Click Help.

  4. Click About Google Chrome.

  5. If there are updates available click Update and Restart Chrome.

  6. Close and Re-open Juno to see if your issue is resolved.


Enable JavaScript

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click Settings

  3. Click Privacy and security

  4. Click JavaScript

  5. Enable the Switch button to the right of |Allowed (recommended)|

  6. Close and Re-open Juno to see if your issue is resolved.


Turn off Sync

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Click the three vertical dots in the upper right corner

  3. Click Settings to check your current sync status

  4. Click Turn Off Sync, if sync is active


Enable & disable hardware acceleration

  1. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  2. Click Settings

  3. Then go down to the bottom of the window and find Show Advanced Settings

  4. Go down from here and find the System section

  5. Select Use hardware acceleration when available

  6. Restart Chrome to activate/deactivate it


Remove plug-ins from Google Chrome

  1. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  2. Under More tools click Extensions.

  3. Remove all plug-ins

  4. Close and Re-open Juno to see if your issue is resolved.


Turn on/off live captioning


Check if Chrome browser is managed

  1. Open Chrome browser 

  2. Click the 3 dot icon to the top right

  3. Check the bottom of the menu. If you see Managed by your organization, your browser is managed. If you don’t, your browser isn’t managed.

  4. Enter chrome://policy in the address bar to see what is being managed

  5. Open Group Policy Editor by clicking Windows Start Menu and typing gpedit.msc

  6. Expand Administrative Templates (Computer Configuration/User Confirmation) and locate Google Chrome folder

  7. Locate the desired policy name and double click to edit

  8. Mark as Not Configured

  9. Click OK

  10. Repeat steps 7 – 9 until all Chrome Policies have been disabled


Uninstall Google Chrome

  1. On your computer, close all Chrome windows and tabs.

  2. Click the Start menu and then Settings.

  3. Click Apps.

  4. Under "Apps & features," find and click Google Chrome.

  5. Click Uninstall.

  6. Confirm by clicking Uninstall.

  7. To delete your profile information, like bookmarks and history, check "Also delete your browsing data."

  8. Click Uninstall.


Reinstall Chrome

  1. Using your current web browser, navigate to Google Chrome - Download

  2. Click on the Download Chrome button when the Google Chrome download page appears

  3. Click on the download to launch the installer


Mute individual speaker

  1. Right-Click inside the speaker's live view box

  2. Click 'show controls'

  3. Click the volume icon to mute speaker


Unmute individual speaker

  1. Right-Click inside the speaker's live view box

  2. Click 'show controls'

  3. Click the volume icon to unmute speaker


Make sure the live session tab is not muted

  1. Right-Click The Live Session Tab

  2. Make sure the site isn't muted


Verify the Google Chrome volume slider is not turned all the way down

  1. Right click the volume icon

  2. Click Open Volume mixer

  3. Make sure Google Chrome Volume Slider is turned up


Remove emojis from individual session

  1. Right click the React emoji icon

  2. Click Inspect

  3. Right click the line that contains "Reaction picker".

  4. Click “Hide Element”
